You can walk around it in less than 5 minutes, but it's well worth staying longer on this well-preserved military outpost, and imagine being a soldier stationed there. You can also get up close to the giant stone statue of Zheng Chenggong (aka Koxinga). He's facing the direction of Gulangyu Island, not far away in Mainland China, where another stone statue of him stands. To get to Jiangong Islet, coordinate your visit with the time of a low tide.
