- Upon entering this fort, you’re in a maze of narrow tunnels leading to the underground Landmine Museum.
- Besides doubling as the entrance to the Landmine Museum, this fort is also the way into the neighboring Tiehan Fort located on the other side of the Landmine Museum.
- One of Little Kinmen's most popular restaurants, Sān céng lóu, specializing in dishes both sweet and savory made from local taro, is right down the road.
Yonghsi Fort has two levels. Above ground, you can see the artillery fort, commander's office and bedrooms. Below ground in the tunnels, there are 8 machine gun firing spots, 4 ammunition depots and a firefighting water storage area.
To the right of the entrance is a visitor center open daily 8am-5:30pm. Half-hr guided tours (in Mandarin Chinese) start here at 10 and 11am, 3 and 4pm.
Opening Hours 08:00-17:00, daily except for Chinese New Year's Day

The Entrance of Landmine MuseumThe Yongshi Fort is located in Leiyu. It was a tunnel and now is a landmine museum. Starting from a normal tunnel, and then as you go, displaying different landmines and introducing how to place them in ground. After a landmine bombarding simulation, you are about to exit. Very good experience to learn a lot of landmine knowledge.
