The official entrance is through the neighboring Yongshi Fort, about a 15-min walk away.

Several stone tables and stools dotted around make this a good picnic or resting spot.

This is quite a large picturesque fort set amongst big fig trees and small hills.

When you approach Tiehan Fort from the road, you might spot an M42 anti-aircraft gun on the right, but there's no English sign, and you're confronted with a metal turnstile which is officially the exit. However, nothing happens if you squeeze under it…
Tiehan Fort
Above ground set in the trees are an artillery fort, the commander's office and an ammunition depot. Underground, you can see the recesses for 5 machine guns, 2 bedrooms, 2 ammunition depots, a 57mm anti-tank gun and a firefighting water storage area.

    The exit of landmine museum

    3 2018-09

Enter at Yongshi Fort, through the landmine exhibition, then exit from here. There is a tank outside of the Fort. Given the fact that the exhibition of landmine museum is one direction only. Thus a lot of tour buses once dropped the tourists at the entrance, would come over here to pick them up. You better know your bus (e.g. license plate number) to avoid any confusion when you 3cit the tunnel.
